“13 Your words have been stout against me, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee? 14 Ye have said, it is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts?” (Malachi 3:13-14). KJV Loved ones, we learn from the text that the Christian’s Spiritual Battle with Satan is nothing new. The…

“11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:11-13)…

“6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. 7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his…

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1). KJV Loved ones, our Spiritual Battle is made clear by the false apostles and prophets being used by the devil. After the New Testament revelation was completed, men rose up claiming to be new apostles and prophets. Until this very hour such claim…

The God Soil Loved ones, the devil glories in “thorny” soil in our Spiritual Battle. In His parable about the man who sowed seed, Jesus said that some of the seed “fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold” (Matthew 13:8). KJV Later, in explaining the parable to His disciples, the Lord told what He meant by “good” soil. This type of grou…

"And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst" (John 6:35). KJV Loved ones, in our Spiritual battle with evil we thank God for granting us a “loophole.” A newspaper advertisement for an evangelistic crusade in a major city used this theme: "YOU ARE BORN, YOU SUFFER, YOU DIE. FORTUNATELY, THERE IS A LOOPH…

“Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf” (1 Peter 4:16). KJV Loved ones, in our Spiritual Battle we are contending with the minds and words of many modern-day believers in Jesus. In a well-meaning but deceptive quote they say: “There are sincere, knowledgeable, devout Christians scattered among all the various denominations.” The sta…

“If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen” (1 Peter 4:11). KJV OUR PLEA Loved ones, in our Spiritual Battle the plea of the early pioneers of the truth has been neglected or abandoned. The fact t…

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1). KJV Loved ones, the devil will use any means he can to win our Spiritual Battle. Christians are at liberty to support many things other than the church of our Lord, but false doctrine is not one of those things. You may have had someone come to…

“3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time” (1 Timothy 2:3-6). KJV Loved ones, in our Spiritual Battle God our Savior wills for “all men (ever…

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves" (Matthew 7:15). KJV Loved ones, in this passage, we find Jesus cautioning His followers against false teachers. In this Spiritual Battle He warns us against being deceived by supposedly godly ministers who are inwardly nothing but servants of Satan. Unfortunately, these false teachers will not…

“Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them” (Ecclesiastes 12:1). KJV Loved ones, we are sure that most, if not all of you, understand that Christians are fighting a Spiritual Battle with Satan. Hopefully, our children and grandchildren are familiar with the wise words of Solomon’s in o…
