Minister's Corner - 223 O Spread The Tidings Round

Loved ones, the song writer wrote:

O Spread the tidings ‘round, wherever man is found, Wherever human hearts and human woes abound: Let every Christ like tongue proclaim the joyful sound; Our Lord is Lord of lords.

Lo, the great King of kings, with healing in His wings, To every captive soul a full deliverance brings, And thro’ the vacant cells the song of triumph rings, The Lord is King of kings.

O boundless love divine! How shall this tongue of mine To wondering mortals tell the matchless grace divine— That I, in earth’s decline should in His image shine! In Him the Word of heaven

Of lords, He is the Lord! Divine, the living Word! His name, the sweetest heard; His will redemption brings: O spread the tidings ‘round, wherever man is found-- The Lord is King of kings.

Do you have a tongue? Yes, you have a tongue. And what are tongues for? Well, it’s obvious that they help us eat. Can you imagine trying to eat something without you tongue? And another and necessary use for the tongue is the ability to speak. Life would certainly be difficult without the blessing of the tongue that God has given us.

And it should be obvious that one of the greatest uses of the tongue would be the ability to use it to save someone from the eternal fires of hell! Yes, God wants us to use the tongue He gave us to “Spread the Tidings Round.”

If you had a million dollars to spare, would you share it with those who were in need? We think that’s obvious. Well, if you had words that would save a soul from the fires of hell, would you be willing to share those words? Think about it, and then do something about it. God is so good. Love you.
