Loved ones, one thing that’s quite obvious in the denominational “Christianity” world is that we have multiple thousands upon thousands of creeds and doctrines of the various denominations. Obviously, we don’t have the time, ink, or paper to name all 42,000 different denominational creeds.
We have the Baptist Manual, the Methodist Discipline, the Catholic Catechism, the Book of Mormon, the Presbyterian Confession of Faith, The Jehovah’s Witnesses “You Can Live Forever in Paradise on Earth,” The Salvation Army Doctrines, etc., etc.
We know the New Testament was divinely revealed and completed before the end of the first century. It was God’s Word to the church, and we are warned about adding to or taking from it (Revelation 22:18-19). In reading God’s Word, we can easily understand that God will not tolerate even one little letter that differs from His Revelation—the New Testament Bible.
Evidently, God’s wisdom and design supplied us with all that we need. We have a further warning concerning making any changes to God’s Word. “18 For truly I say unto you, Till heaven and earth perish, one jot or one tittle of the Law shall not escape, till all things be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall observe and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:18-19).
Question: Who is the author of the thousands of denominational creeds? Has God inspired their authors to write them? Who would claim that God inspired them to write doctrines and practices that not only differ from one another, but, more importantly, they also contradict God’s Word, the New Testament. Who, in their right mind, would claim that such is the work of God?
Question: Do these creed books agree with one another? Obviously not. For example, some creeds teach that baptism is done by sprinkling or pouring water on the head. Those that practice baptism by sprinkling or pouring water clearly disagree with God’s Word, which shows that baptism is accomplished by an immersion or burial in water (cf. Colossians 2:12). Some other denominations practice no baptism at all.
With respect to all the denominational creeds that differ from one another, as well as differ from the Bible, their confusion is obviously not from God. “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints” (1 Corinthians 14:33). So if the confusing denominational creeds are not from God, who has caused them to be written? Who else but Satan, the great deceiver? God is so good. Love you. Samuel – 16 August 2026
